Fight fans get a little extra action at
Louis-Godoy bout. When Referee Billy
Cavanaugh decided the Chilean chal
lenger had been beaten up badly enough
by the champion and ended the fight
on a technical knockout in the eighth
round, Arturo Godoy disagreed and
wanted to fight some more. He's shown
in center of ring being restrained from
rushing Louis in his corner—while Joe
turns a wary eye on his "punch-balmy"
opponent. Fifteen cops helped calm
Arturo.
Burning Pace runs away—and lives to
finish last. The runaway racer had
dashed about 6 furlongs around the
track at Aqueduct, N. Y., before Out
rider Kenneth Force caught up with
him in this exciting moment. The
horse, which had thrown its jockey, was
led back to the starting gate again
and finished last in a field of nine.
A costly casualty for the Brooklyn Dodgers. The news camera clicks a moment after Joe Medwick, just purchased from the St.
Louis Cardinals to boost the Dodgers' pennant stock, is felled by o pitched ball in a gome with his former teammates. Medwick suf

Arthur G. Steedley ... to wed Miss llene Mildred
Carkm of Washington, in The Little Church of Fort
Lincoln. In the wedding party were Miss Lee
Rogers, maid of honor, and Mr. J. Ward, best man.
The attractive bride is pictured ot the beautiful
wrought iron gateway to the cloistered garden
adjoining The Little Church, which won a national
award for its fine architecture. Historically famous
and beautifully landscaped. Fort Lincoln Cemetery
is an ideal setting for its imposing Little Church
(non-sectarian), which has been made available
to the public for weddings. Fort Lincoln is located
on the Baltimore Blvd.. at the District Line.
