CHICAGO, July 5.—Sonja Henle now is wearing a wedding ring alongside the big sparkler she got from Dan Topping a week ago. The Norwegian-born figure-skat ing and screen star received the love token from the millionaire New York sportsman yesterday at a ceremony attended only by a few friends and the brides relatives. The wedding ceremony was read by the Rev. Joshua Oden of the j Irving Park Lutheran Church and performed at the Lake Shore drive j apartment home of Arthur Wirtz, a ; business associate of the bride. Topping, who is the owner of the Brooklyn Dodgers football team. , met his bride when she appeared in her ice revue in' New York last winter. The romance came to pub- i lie notice in March when they took 1 the same boat to Honolulu. They became engaged last week. Miss Henie wept softly during the marriage ceremony but brushed aside her tears as she received Topping's kiss ana said. Dies; Noted Steeplechase Rider and Trainer Heart Attack Fatal To Sportsman at Long Island Dinner William B. Streett, about 35, one of the country’s best known gen tleman riders and trainer of win ning steeplechase horses in Mary land and Virginia, died suddenly of a heart attack last night while din ing with friends at Westbury, Long Island, N. Y. Mr. Streett, who trained several winners of the famous Virginia Gold Cup Race, including the last one, recently had left his home at Edge Hill, near Warrenton. to visit his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. WILLIAM B. Several years ago Mr. Streett went to Liverpool, England, to ride in the Grand National Aintree race. In recent years he had given up race riding. Mr. Streett, a native of Baltimore, was the son of the late John Rush Streett of Farmington, Harford County, Md„ a member of an old Maryland family. Funeral arrangements were being held up pending the arrival of Mr. Street's widow, the former Lettice Coulling of Baltimore, who is visit ing in the West. Resolution to Approve Connolly Filed in House A resolution authorizing Col. Don ald H. Connolly, former Work Proj ects administrator for Southern California, to become administrator of Civil Aeronautics in the Com merce Department was filed with the House bill clerk yesterday, with the approval of the House Inter state and Foreign Commerce Com mittee.
