By the Associated Press. 1 Machinery for disposal of sur 1 plus war property was established yesterday with issuance of regula tion No. 1 by W. L. Clayton, sur plus property administrator. The regulation covers every type of property in Government pos session or control, whether real or personal, new or used. It designates eight disposal agencies, adding the Foreign Eco nomic Administration, the Federal Works Agency and the Navy De partment to five suggested in the Baruch-Hancock postwar report— the Treasury Department, the Re construction Finance Corp., the Maritime Commission, the War Food Administration and the Na tional Housing Agency. Sale or other disposal of sur pluses in active theaters of opera tion may be made by the military or naval commanders. The disposal agencies and the - broad general categories of surplus properties assigned to each are: Treasury Department—Consumer goods. RFC—Capital and producer goods, except such real property as is as signed to the Maritime Commis sion. NHA and FWA. Maritime Commission—Maritime property, except real property which cainnot be utilized for martitime purposes which is to be turned over to RFC for disposal. Navy Department—Combat ships or naval auxiliaries. WFA—All surplus food. NHA—Surplus housing property except that under control and juris diction of the War or Navy De partments. FWA—Surplus war property of the class of facilities financed through FWA, other than those lo cated on the sites of national hous ing projects. FEA—Surplus war property lo cated outside continental United States, its territories and posses sions. The three members will make valedictory, sa lutatory and welcoming addresses. Aid Is Awarded Man Who Refused I $90-a-Week Job By the Associated Pres*. ALBANY. N. Y., May 12.—A man who formerly earned between *10, 000 and *15,000 a year is privileged to spurn a *90-a-week job and still receive unemployment insurance benefits, the appellate division holds. The ruling was on an appeal by State Industrial Commissioner Ed ward Corel from a decision of the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board that Joseph Oroner, New York City, was entitled to pay ments, although he had refused a *90-a-week commercial art job last August to take more time to seek a better position. “The refusal was not unreason able,” the decision said. “The sal ary offered was one-third of that which the claimant had received for many years and until about two years before the hearing and less than one-half of the salary last re ceived by him.” The maximum unemployment benefits in tne State are *18 a week up to 20 weeks.
