Wheatley, which already has turned in 86,633 pounds and has a per capita mark of 124 3, has de veloped a plan under which pupils at the school will work under block lieutenants to bring in the paper until the regular system now pre vailing is resumed in the fall if the need remains urgent. H. D. Cooke, with 48.412 pounds to its credit and a per capita of 104, also anounced today its inten tion to carry cm. Yesterday, schools in the third district turned in 52.340 pounds to put the total at 5,521,120 pounds. Among the larger collections of a ton or more were W. B. Powell with 2.142 pounds; Macfarland with 11, 582 pounds; Petworth with 6,060 pounds: Bruce with 3.887 pounds; Park View with 2,720 pounds; Bar nard with 3,160 pounds; Noyes with 4,691 pounds; Brookland with 2,089 pounds; Morgan with 3,350 pounds; Bancroft with 2.906 pounds, and Raymond with 3,543 pounds. The proposed regulations would require the rat proofing of all homes, offices and industrial establishments in the District.
