That's right, a horse opera. Universal probably thought the recent strike meant the automobile was gone for good. * * * * Employment department : Lewis Milestone who heightened his repu taiioii as a director no less tnan enormously with his work on Eric Remarque's “All Quiet, on the West ern Front." has been signed to direct “Arch of Triumph." * * * * Filing department: That wry faced critical reception it received here, and an almost equally wry one in Boston. So, there will be an archery contest for Washington Robin Hoods next Saturday afternoon at the Reservoir Range (if that's what it is called) at Sixteenth and Kennedy streets. The Capital's best bowmen will compete | with the second-best, and with all [other subsequent grades who care j to show up for the event. But Miss Nash, the pretty thing, will be heard locally on April 22, when she appears as soloist ! with Sigmund Romberg in his con cert at Constitution Hall April 22. Miss Nash's way with Romberg's : music is one of the finest things the composer has discovered in his whole 36 years in this country. Ray Mtlland takes off soon for London to star for Hal Wallis in “Whenever I remember.” Ray would rather make another picture at Paramount here first, as a sort of followup to his "Last Weekend' success.
