Malone, Jr., son of Capt. and Mrs. Ralph W. Malone of 4521 Chestnut street, Bethesda, arrives with his 18-year-old bride. Mr. Malone, 21, who was dis charged from the Army April 29 after service that won him a Bronze Star with an Oak Leaf Cluster, ^et Miss Nicole Champ two years ago at Savigny-sur-Orge, France. They were married there last March 2. The bride arrived in New York Mon day on the S. S. Zebulon Vance and was greeted by her husband. The ’couple will come here by plane and ' will be met by Capt. and Mrs. Malone at the National Airport at 4:30 o’clock this afternoon. The Bethesda veteran served for three years with the 4th Division and saw action in France, Belgium, j Luxembourg and Germany. He is a (graduate of Washington-Lee High School and plans to go to college, his mother said today. Other war wives and children of Washington veterans are due to arrive in New York from England about June 1 among 452 dependents of American servicemen. They include: Mrs. Kathleen J. Moore, 24, of Yorks, wife of T/Sergt. Louis F. Moore, 1204 H street N.E., with their daughter, Judith, 6 weeks old; Mrs. Mary Combs, 20, of Chester Omes, wife of. Veterans to Be Entertained Veterans at Mount Alto Hospital will be entertained tomorrow eve ning with a musical program pre sented by the National Guard of Honor of the American Legion. Se lections will include songs, instru mental solos and dances. The pro gram is directed by Capt. James Pistorio. Robert Jacobs is chair man of the guard of honor. Truman Escorts Girl, 6, to Show Nest of Robins Mary Harrison. 6, who has heard all about the White House robins, | yesterday was taken by President Truman to see the nest which shelters three young robins on the portico just outside of his office, j Mary also got a piece of candy jand an autographed card from the I President. She was accompanied by her grandfather, James C. Quig ley of Valentine, Neb., Democratic national committeeman from that State, and other Democrats. Afterward she posed for pictures i waving the candy and card from i the front steps of the Executive Offices. Mary mentioned in passing that she had just gotten over the mumps. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Harrison of the Kennedy Warren Apartments. Mr. Harrison is an editorial writer for The Star.
