William G. 550 Surgical Beds Bought for Glenn Dale Purchase of 550 new-type surgical beds with matching mattresses for the District Tuberculosis Sanitorium at Glen Dale, Md.. at a cost of $52, 480 was announced yesterday by I District Purchasing Officer Roland M. Brennan. Delivery of the beds and mat tresses, enough to provide for all the institution’s 510 patients, has been promised in from three to six months by the Kloman Instrument Co. of Washington. Also purchased for the sanitorium were new lightweight wool blankets, for delivery in the fall, and $5,000 worth of new X-ray equipment, Mr. Brennan said. Delta Line Purchases 20 Luxury Airliners Delta Air Lines, which has applied for a permit to operate between Miami and Washington, has pur chased 20 high-speed luxury air liners from the Glenn L.
