AIB Women to Hold Annual Fall Dinner Next Tuesday By Harold B. Rogers The annual fall dinner of the Women's Committee of the Was lngton Chapter. American Institute of Banking will be held next Tues day night at the Mayflower Hotel ballroom, it was learned today. Principal speaker will be Martha Rountree, radio producer of the program “Meet the Press." October 21 has been net as the date for the regular fall meeting of the District of Columbia Bankers’ Association at 8 p.m. at the May flower Hotel. Program details have not yet been arranged. George Washington University today announced publication of the textbook “Financial Statements,” by Dr. Ralph Dale Kennedy, professor of accounting and business adminis tration at the university. The vol ume deals with an analysis of finan cial statements, and will be used at G. W. U. and numerous other col leges and universities during the coming school term. Breunlnger to Speak. Lewis E. Breunlnger, former presi dent of the Washington Real Estate Board, will address the Washington Chapter. Society of Residential Ap praisers. at a dinner meeting at 6:30 o'clock tonight at the Burlington Hotel. F. Latimer Barkley, vice president of the chapter, will preside. Two picked teams of appraisers will submit appraisals on a Warren street residential property, it was announced by Lee Baxter, secretary of the chapter. . Reflecting weakness in securities and cotton, all deliveries opened lower. As trading developed the nearby contracts in oats developed strength when commission houses which had been on the selling side earlier started buying the September de-v livery. Some of the buying was said to be covering by shorts.
