THE SUNDAY PAPER or, Why Men Go Mad By GARDNER REA SUNDAY MORNING: Mr. J. M. Duddy starts his weekly search for the paper. Junior, of course, has snagged on to the comics. SISTER, at the sophisticated age, has the theater section. She’s communing with Van Johnson, or some more recent grand passion. FRIEND WIFE generally takes care of the sjiorts section — just lines the garbage can with it. Home runs mean nothing to her. BROTHER-IN-LAW has dozed oh under the Business and Help Wanted sections. Just reading about jobs completely exhausts him. JANIE is at the cutout stage. She likes to clip the front page. Rover isn’t a bit fussy he’ll chew any section that’s left over. OH, WELL — no time for reading anyhow. Work to be done, you know. (Chin up. Duddy, old boy — better luck next Sunday!) ...
