Arries, chairman of the Montgomery County Republican Campaign Committee, today said county Republicans, while unable to indorse the charter form of govern ment for the county as a party, nevertheless favor a vote on the subject. His statement follows action of the county commissioners' yesterday in refusing to nominate a slate of can didates for the five posts on the charter board. Earlier in the week Democratic leaders declared their opposition to the charter form of government. The Democraic county congress will meet at 8 pm. Tuesday in the Be thesda-Chevy Chase High School.
