Beverly Bissett To Be Married November 23 has been selected by Miss Beverly June Bissetr as the date for her marriage to Mr. Carl Franklin Kauffman, son of Mrs. Herbert Emory' Kauffman of Lan caster, Pa., and the late Mr. Kauff jman. Miss Bissetts parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Earnest Bissett, are an nouncing her engagement, and the wedding will take place at the Dum barton Avenue Methodist Church in Georgetown. The bride-elect attends George Washington University, wnere she is a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, and her fiance plans to resume studies at the university. Before serving two and a half years in the Navy, he was graduated from the Capitol Radio Engineering Institute. MISS HASTINGS. Porter of Kansas City, Mo., became the bride yesterday of Dr. Hugh Wayne Randel. son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Randel of Ponco City, Okla. The ceremony took place in the Trinity Methodist Church In Kansas City. A recep tion followed in the church parlor. The bride was given in marriage by her father and her only attend ant was her sister, Mrs. R. L. Hanke. Dr. Harold Muchmore of Jersey City served as best man. Mrs. Randel was gowned in a tailored vodka suit of wool gabar dine with a matching hat and white gloves. She carried a white Bible covered with a single orchid and streamers of orange blossoms. After a brief wedding trip through the Ozarks, the Great Smokies and Williamsburg. Va., the couple will reside in Mount Rainier. Mrs. Randel was stationed in Washington as a WAVE and is the granddaughter of the late Senator E. R Porter of Kansas. The bride groom is a graduate of Oklahoma University and the George Wash ington University School of Medi cine. He now is in his internship at George Washington Hospital. 'New Zealand Girl Becomes Bride A New Zealand bride walked up the aisle of Eastern Presbyterian Church yesterday when Miss Olive M. Ives, daughter of Mrs. Ernest | Ives of Auckland. New Zealand, and i the late Mr. Ives, became the bride of Mr. Jack B. Mangum, son of Mrs. D. N. Mangum of Washington and the late Mr. Mangum. _ It was a double-ring ceremony at 8 o’clock and the Rev. W. N. Vincent officiated. A reception followed at Eastern Presbyterian Banquet Hall. Given in marriage by Mr. W. B.
