Berns, jr. Mrs. Bern* is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul J. Williams of Annandale, and her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Berns of Detroit. The ceremony took place at 8 o’clock, the Rev. Harry L. Bell! officiating, and a reception followed j in Power Hall. The bride wore white satin with a j fingertip veil and carried a white I orchid on a white prayer book. Her father, gave her in marriage, and j her sifter, Miss Doris Williams, at- j tended as maid of honor. Miss Marlene Schneider of Detroit and Mrs. John Freeman of Falls Church were bridesmaids. The brother of the bridegroom, Sergt. Ray C. Berns, served as best man, while Mr. John Hurley of Washington and Mr. Norman Provo seated the wedding guests. After a trip to New York, the couple will live in Detroit. Malinda Kieny Becomes Bride Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Kieny were hosts in their home on Law rence street yesterday afternoon following the wedding of their daughter, Miss Malinda Jean Kieny, and Mr. Nelson K. Norford, which took place at 3 o'clock in the Sher wood Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Richard M. Mussen officiated at the ceremony amid decorations of white and gold chrys anthemums with palms and candle light. and Mrs. Eldridge Jones played the wedding music. She also ac companied Miss Evelyn Myers and Miss Helen Myers, who sang duets. Mr. Kieny escorted his daughter, who wore a dress of w'hite satin brocade with a veil of Illusion held in place by an arrangement of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums. The bride’s only attendant was Mrs. Bryan C. Clatterbuck, who! wore light blue faille and carried gold chrysanthemums. Mr. James D. Cline was best man for the bridegroom, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Norford, and Mr. Clatterbuck and Mr. Nelson Seese were the ushers. When Mr. and Mrs. Norford re turn from their wedding trip they will make their home temporarily with Mrs. Norford’s parents. MRS. BERNS. —Madlon Photo.
