Representatives of nursing and
civic organisations met yesterday at
the Municipal Center to co-ordi
nate plans for Public Health Nurs
ing Week.
The week has been set for April
20-26, and will be officially pro
claimed by the Commissioners.

nurse publicity and recruiting di
rector for the coming year.
Miss Elizabeth Harvey, executive
secretary of the Washington Metro
politan Health Council, presided at
the meeting.
She outlined plans to bring before
the public the work being done by
the Bureau of Public Health Nurs
ing of the District Health Depart
ment and by the Instructive Visit
i ing Nurse Society, and the need for
I more nurses to expand the home
! service in the Washington area.
