so kind to your hands!
For dishes you must have a busy soap
that makes plates and glassware spar
kle and shine. But the important ques
tion-the xital question—is "how do
your hands look after you're through r1"
That's why Chiffon Flakes are first
choice with so very many women who
wash dishes three times every day!
Chiffon's rich, creamy suds are
"mild as a lotion"—geqtle even with
sensitive skins. Use Chiffon Flakes
always and keep your hands softer,
smoother, younger-looking.
The mildness and purity of Chiffon
is positively unsurpassed. And
Chiffon dissolves in a hurry—makes
quick, long-lasting suds that get you
out of the kitchen faster.

Madsen Urges Speed
In Committee Studies
On Fire Safety Rules
A hurry-up call to members of
the Commissioners' Committee
studying proposed changes in the
District's fire safety regulations was
sounded today by the group's chair
man, Col. Kenneth E. Madsen, As
sistant Engineer Commissioner.
His call lor haste followed a meet
ing of the committee in his office
yesterday. It developed the fact that
three of five subcommittees working
up recommended changes have yet
to complete their work.
"We're going ot have to speed
things up if we want to beat the en
forcement deadline," Col Madsen
declared.
Col. Madsen said the subcommit
tees covering rooming houses, hos
pitals and schools were about 50 per
cent finished, while those concerned
with hotels, apartments, restaurants,
stores, theaters, garages and other
public meeting places had handed in
their recommendations.
He said he hoped all subcommit
tees would finish in time to turn
over their work to the full commit
tee at another meeting set for May
14 in his office.
The committee was formed fol
lowing postponement to July 1 of
enforcement of the regulations, em
bodied in the so-called Egress Act
amendment to the building code.
The act gave the District a strict
set of fire safety regulations. They
were adopted a year ago In March
but were never enforced.
