Zoo s Answer Man
When animal keepers at the Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago,
were flooded with questions they couldn't answer, the director
established a Zoo Answer Shop with Fred Meyer in charge.
Mr. Meyer keeps an exhaustive card file of animal facts as
well as a zoological library. The animal Idleness on his desk
doesn't seem to faze him.
First-hand study of the animals supplements Mr. Meyer's
book research. Here he checks the coloring of a Siberian tiger.
Two youngsters get a close-up of a South American turtle
j^ch lives at the Answer Shop. The reptile weighs 26 pounds,
' years old. WW« World Pkoiot
