McGovern-Ready Ceremony Held MRS. MCGOVERN. —Hessler Photo. Wearing a candlelight satin gown •ppliqued in lace, Miss Mary Mar garet Ready, daughter of Dr. Fran cis Joseph Ready and the late Mrs. Mary E. Ready, yesterday became the bride of Mr. John Waldron Mc Govern, jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John Waldron McGovern of Balti more. The wedding took place at 10:30 in the morning at the. Holy Trinity Church. The Rev. Matthew A. Rooney, S. J., of St. Andrew-on Hudson in Poughkeepsie, N. Y., performed the ceremony, which was followed by a nuptial mass. Mr. —— ' Glenn Ashley played the organ. Mrs. Carolyn Sheil was the soloist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s fingertip veil of illusion fell from a headpiece of Chantilly lace and seed pearls fashioned from the one worn by her mother. She carried a prayer book with a white orchid and ribbon streamers. She was attended by Mrs. Frederick B. Beacham, jr., of Baltimore; Mrs. Jack W. Dressel of Savannah, Miss Clara M. McGovern of Baltimore, sister of the bridegroom; Mrs. James A. Hafer and Patricia Louise Ready of Tampa, her cousin. Mrs. Beacham, matron of honor, wore a periwinkle blue taffeta dress with matching cloche of marquisette and an old-fashioned bouquet. The bridesmaids were similarly costumed in lime green and little Miss Ready, flower girl, was costumed in pink. Mr. Jack M. McCall of Baltimore was best man and the ushers were Mr. Philip Fogarty, Mr. Hafer and Mr. Peter J. Malloy of Baltimore, cousin of the bridegroom. At the reception which followed in the ballroom of the Mayflower Hotel the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Michael J. Ready, assisted in receiving. Later the couple left for a motor trip through the Pennsylvania mountains. When they return they will make their home in George town. Mr. McGovern attended Mount St. Mary’s, served as a pilot in the American Air Force and is now a student at Johns Hopkins Uni versity.
