Kendrick yesterday paid fines totaling $25 after being found guilty of intoxication and disorderly conduct in an apartment house lobby last Friday. Kendrick, 50, former Tri-State gang mobster, is still under $3,000 bond pending District Court trial on charges of carrying a pistol, assault with a pistol and assault with intent to kill his ex-gangland rival, Tommy English, last June. His latest arrest came about when he told the telephone operator of the Miramar Apartments, 1301 Fifteenth street N.W., to call a friend. Instead, the operator called police, who took due note that he was “staggering and cursing loudly’’ in the lobby when they arrived. Evi dence was heard by Municipal Court Judge John P. McMahon.
