Similar requests to rezone the tract to apartment house use were denied by the commissioners last June after the proposals were vig orously opposed by the Allied Civic Groups of Silver Spring and the Woodside Park Civic and Seven Oaks Manor Citizens’ Associations. The new petitions modify the earlier ones by setting aside two group? of lots as a buffer strip be tween the area proposed for resi dential C classification and the existing residential A zone. “Finds N« Justification.” In its recommendation, the plan ping commission said it "still finds no justification for this proposed departure from the existing and well-established zoning pattern of this portion of 8ilver Spring,” Hear ings on the two petitions will be held at 3 and 3:10 pm. Wednesday in the Sliver Spring Liquor Dis pensary Building.
