Sec. 12* A Clark to Give FBI List Of Suspect Groups To Loyalty Probers Attorney General Clark is per sonally checking FBI data on alleged “totalitarian. Fascist, Com munist or subversive” groups and organizations and hopes to turn over a list of such groups to the Civil Service Commission's Loyalty Review Board within a few' days, the Justice Department said today. Mr. Clark expects to work over the week end on the list, if neces sary, to be sure it is completed by Monday. The initial list, the first such roll compiled by the Government in many years, w'as called for by a presidential order as part of the program of removing disloyal em ployes from the Government payroll. A Justice Department spokesman said Mr. Clark would first send the bo»d a list of organizations about which there is no doubt as to their falling into the extreme left or right-wing categories. Then he will review the borderline cases, calling in officials of these groups if he feels it will be helpful in de termining their real policies. It is not certain wnether the list will be made public by the Justice Department or the Civil Service Commission, if at all, the Justice Department spokesman said. The Attorney General’s lists also TT’ill Vin m O Rn onotlnKln tn IVin "NT tional Labor Relation^ Board for use in connection with the Taft-Hartley labor law. The law says the NLRB must have union leaders file affi davits stating they are not Com munists. The board will use the list to check on- the truth of these affadavits.
