Man Wins Jury Trial After Private Bar Raid A jury trial on October 30 has been granted a man seized Saturday In a raid on a private bar operated In the 1200 block of Sixth street N.E. Detectives said they had not only “cased” the place by buying a bottle of 10-cent beer for 50 cents but had confiscated such evidence as a menu on which were listed cocktails named * “Nightmare Special” and "Ready for Freddie.” The defendant's name is Nathanial Clay Bruce, 41, colored, of the above address. He was placed under $2, 000 bond by Judge Armond W. Scott, on charges of keeping and selling whiskey without a.license. — Marriage License Applications Under D.
