Seventheenth and K streets N.W. _ Science Group to Hold Centennial Fete Here More than 6,000 members of the American Association for the Ad vancement of Science will hold their centennial celebration in Washing ton during the week of September 13, 1948, the Washington Board of Trade announced today. The sessions will include all phases of scientific research and production. Dr. Harlow Shapley of Harvard University, president of the association, will be in charge of ar rangements for the conference. Paint Group Appoints Scientific Section Head Appointment of John C. Moore as director of the scientific section of the National Paint, Varnish and Lacquer Association has been an nounced by Ernest T. Trigg, presi dent of the association, which main tains its headquarters here. Mr. Moore has been superintend ent of the paint plant of the Sin clair Refining Co. at Marcus Hook, Pa., since 1934. , He will assume his new duties October 1.
