Wilson, FBI Specialisi On Fingerprints, Dies at 36 Merle C. Wilson, fingerprint spe cialist for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, died yesterday at Garfield Hospital after a week’s illness. Mr. Wilson had been a finger print expert with the bureau since 1932 when he came to Washington. He had testified in numerous State and Federal courts throughout the country on fingerprint identites. Citizens' Group Urges Fewer Chest Agencies The Lincoln Park Citizens’ Associ ation last night voted unanimously to indorse a minority report of the Federation of Citizens’ Associations urging elimination of 16 agencies from the Community Chest. The agencies include the Animal Rescue League, the National Youth Hostel, the YMCA and the YWCA. Alfred D. Calvert, association pres ident, said the minority report was designed to prevent the Council of Social Agencies from “using the Chest's funds to cause racial strife instead of using them for charitable nurDoses.’’ Members voted to write to Clifford H. Bright was with the 29th Na tional Guard Division staff in Rich mond from about 1923 until 1941, when he was sent to Fort Meade, Md„ as inspector general of the 29th Guard Division. Later he was with the 3d Service Command in Balti more for a year and for the fol lowing 17 months he was with the desert training center in California. He was inspector general for the China-Burma-India theater and was stationed in India before he went on duty at the War Depart-' nent.
