Wedding in June The engagement of Miss Patricia Oliver Martyn to Mr. Raymond Joseph Glasgow of Hyattsvllle is announced by Miss Martyn’s par enta, Dr. and Mrs. Herbert E. Mar tyn. The bride-elect attended the Uni versity of Maryland and Mr. Glas gow also attended the university. He is the son of Mrs. Augustus Glasgow and the late Mr. Glasgow. Mary Homa Bride Yesterday Morning Miss Mary Homa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Homa of Beaver Meadows, Pa., was married yester day morning in the Holy Comforter Church to Mr. Cornelius Ford Hol den, son of Mrs. Thomas Holden and the late Mr. Holden. The Rev. Martin Hyland officiated at the ceremony, which was followed by reception at the farm of Mr. Thomas A. O’Donnell at Forrest - ville. Escorted by her father, the bride was gowned in white satin trimmed with lace. A crown of lace trimmed with seed pearls held her veil in place and she carried a prayer book overlaid with white rosebuds. Mrs. Russell Mitchell was the matron of honor, wearing aqua marquisette, and the bridesmaids, Miss Helen Homa, sister of the bride, and Miss Leona Mahon, were in yefiow marquisette. Pink was worn by the two flower girls, Katie Lang and Loretta Ford, ana all of the attendants carried bouquets of spring flowers. Mr. Thomas Holden was best man for his brother and two other broth ers, Mr.. Paul R. Holden and Mr. Philip M. Holden, were the ushers. After the reception Mr. and Mrs. Holden left for' their wedding trip. They will make their home at 3309 Du Bo Is place. Betty Youngstrand Married Yesterday In the Church of the Ascension in New York yesterday, Miss Betty Youngstrand, daughter of Mrs. Charles O. Youngstrand of New York was married to Mr. Wil liam Macy Marvel. The couple will make their home in McLean, Va. The bride wore an old-fashioned gown of eggshell satin, which was worn by the bridgegroom's mother, Mrs. Herbert M. Marvel of Medford, Mass. Her veil was of rosepoint lace, a family heirloom. Mrs. Clement A. Panrose, Jr., of Birmingham, Ala; was matron of honor. The best man was Mr. Joseph C. Gray of Vienna, Va. Mrs. Marvel was graduated from Smith in 1935 and has beeh on the editorial staff of Fortune magazine. Before the war, she spent three years in Europe. She attended classes at the- London School of Economics, taught English at the International Peoples’ College in Elsinore, Denmark, and worked for the International Labour Office in Geneva. Mr. Marvel is a graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard Law School. He was with Military Intelligence dining the war and a lawyer for the Anti-trust division of the Department of Justice. He now is with the Department of State.
