Group Withholds Support Of Move to Probe Police The Columbia Heights Citizens’ Forum last night rejected a motion to support the resolution of Senator Ball, Republican, of Minnesota to have a Senate committee investigate the Metropolitan Police Depart ment. The motion had been referred to the Appropriate Committee of the forum at a previous meeting, and this committee had refused to report it out. Brought up at last night’s meeting, the motion was declared out of order. The forum also turned down a motion to approve giving ambu lances the right to go through red lights. The Health and Safety Committee declared more lives would be lost through this practice than would be saved by the added speed of the ambulance. Three talks were heard at the meeting. The first, on the Metro politan Police Boys’ Club, was ac companied by a moving picture, and was given by Lt. F. L. Binswanger. The second, on the X-ray drive, was given by Walter J. Mack of the Survey Speakers’ Bureau. Mrs. Lila Updike spoke on her trip to Mexico and showed color slides. The meeting, held in the Powell Junior High School, was conducted b Dr. C. J. Femald, president. Many women develop high blood pressure in their 40s. In men high blood pressure is more frequent after 50.
