Golfer Posts $500 Bond In Florida Attack Case By the Associated Press MIAMI, Fla.. Dec. 27.—Larry Dana, 29, amateur golfer of Brad ford. Pa„ charged with attacking a department store clerk, was free on bond today awaiting a prelim inary hearing later this week. Judge Edward Lee Mason ordered Dana released on $500 bond. The golfer had been in Dade County Jail without bond since his arrest last Friday at Avon Park, Fla. Dana was charged in a warrant signed by Justice of the Peace E. L. Mason with raping and beating a girl whom Dana met at a party for golfers at a Miami Beach hotel December 8 during the $10,000 Miami Open Golf Tournament. Passenger Train Kills Man in Petersburg By the Associated Press PETERSBURG!!. Va.. Dec. 27.— Police investigating the death here of Robert Luther Woodall, 36, of Tri angle, said he apparently stepped from behind a string of cars into the path of a Norfolk and Western passenger train and was killed in stantly. Train crewmen said they did not knowr about the accident until they pulled into the station a short dis tance from the scene of the mishap at the Fleet street crossing Saturday. The mangled body was found beside the tracks.
