Visitors Here Mr. and Mrs. Paul Coblenzer of Boston spent last week in Washing ton en route to Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Sol Bloom of Charleston, W. Va., spent last week in Washington and sailed Friday for a trip to Europe. Mrs. Jeff Komicker has been the guest for a week of her mother, Mrs Nathan Kahn. The marriage of Mrs. Grace Mal loy Altemus to Capt. Reginald Mure Hodgson, jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Hodgson of this city, took place yesterday morning in the chapel of the Walter Reed Hos pital, the Rev. Robert C. Mulherin officiating. Mrs. Prank Newell Stanley, jr., of Chevy Chase attended her sister, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jerome Malloy of Beth lehem, Pa. Mr. Frank O’Neil was best man. Only the parents of the couple attended the wedding. The bride is the widow of Lt. Joseph Frederick Altemus, A. A. F., who was killed in action in Febru ary’. 1944. The couple will leave shortly for Greece, where Capt. Hodgson is to be stationed. Miss Self Engaged MISS SELF. Announcement is made by Mr. and Mrs. Julian B. Lynnwood Cook, and Seaman First Class Robert Thomas Boone, jr., U. S. N. 1 The Rev. Father John Bailey of ficiated following a program of songs by Miss Anna Katherine Mplster. Escorted to the altar by Mr. Mills, the bride wore with her gown of candlelight satin and chantilly lace, j a heirloom cameo, which belonged; to her great grandmother, the late Mrs. George A. Poe. She carried a lace handkerchief of her grand mother's, the late Mrs. George Pen der Hart. The bride had as her attendants the Misses Mary Louise Weber, Wil ls Jean Wolf and Marguerite Boyer. With their gowns of pastel marqui sette they carried old fashioned | bouquets. Mr. Spencer Lee Hart, jr., was1 best man and the ushers were Mr. Joseph M. Mills and Mr. William E. Hart. Evelyn Waugh To Be Feted A small private reception honor ing Mr. Evelyn Waugh, the English novelist, will be given Thursday I evening at Georgetown University following the public lecture, which Mr. Waugh is giving there earlier that evening. The host will be Dr. Hunter Guthrie, S. J., dean of the uni versity's graduate school, under whose auspices Mr. Waugh Is com ing to Washington for the first time to lecture. Mrs. Richard J. Anthony is in charge of arrange ments for both lecture and recep tion. Mr. Waugh is expected to remain in Washington for a few days on the occasion of hie" visit here. His visit to the United States is of special interest at this tilde since nis latest work, "Scott-King’s Modern Europe,” is being published in this country this month.
