Building Permit Issued for 68-Unit Apartment Project A 68-unit elevator apartment for colored occupancy was among projects for which permits were issued during the last week by the District's Central Permit Office. Permit valuation for this apart ment building, to be known as Holly House, is $400,000. The loca tion will be 1825 T street N.W. Owner is Holly House, Inc., and builder is Holly Builders, Inc. Architect is Milton J. Prassas, 1737 Harvard street N.W. Among other permits issued during the week were: Franciscan Friars of the Atone ment, Inc.,' owner; Graymoor, Garrison N. Organizations affiliated with the national association also will hold meetings during the period. Navy Engineer Wins Prize for Design Of Welded Bridge The James F. Lincoln Arc Weld ing Foundation, Cleveland, this week announced that Arsham Amirikian, 6526 Western avenue, Chevy Chase, Md., received hon orable mention in a competition for the design of a welded bridge. Thirteen awards totaling $10, 750 were made in competition for an all-welded 250-foot highway bridge. Mr. Amirikian’s prize was $200. A first award of $5,000 was given to James H. Jennison, Pasadena, Calif. Second * award of $2,000 went to Ernst Amstutz, Zurich, Switzerland. Mr. Amirikian is head design engineer of the Navy’s Bureau of Yards and Docks. He is a gradu ate of Cornell University, class of 1923, as a civil engineer. Some of the foremost bridge designers in the world participated in the competition, the foundation said. Frazier Heads Fry Firm Karl B. Frazier, formerly with Edward Jones & Co., for 18 years as a salesman, has been chosen president of E. M.
