LOUIS, June 26 (P). —The Yankees received some welcome news when Tom Morgan, 22-year old righthanded pitcher, was granted an extension of 30 days by his Los Angeles draft board. The pitcher, who left the club a week ago to report for induction on June 27, will rejoin the Yanks in New York in time for tomor row night’s game with the Ath letics. Red Sox Buy Lehner, Now With Toronto By th« Associated Press BOSTON. June 26.—The Red Sox have purchased Outfielder Paul Lehner from the Indians. The veteran was out on option to the Toronto International League club. To make room for Lehner, the Red Sox returned Charley Max well to the Louisville American Association farm team. Nally Ready to Race Again After Mishap at Lanham Fied Nally, director of the Trin idad Boys’ Club, is a courageous stock car driver. Last Friday at the West Lan ham Speedway, Nally climbed the fence in his car, fell back to the track and then turned over twice. The car seemingly was demolished, but Nally escaped serious injury. A spectator was injured when a piece of flying metal from Nally’s car struck him on the head. Nally has patched up his ma chine and will race again tomor row, when the seventh week of racing at the track begins at 8:30 p.m. Also ready to go are Lou John son, Johnny Roberts, Bill Dyer, Vernon Kirk “Little Leo” Vier korn and others.
