They were mar ried in September, 1921. The couple came to Washing ton in 1932, remaining until 1935. After living in Fort Monroe, Va., Philadelphia and Puerto Rico, they returned in 1941. Y., Feb. 21. —John Luther Anderson, 67, re tired vice president and treas urer of McCann-Erickson, Inc., New York advertising firm, died at his home today after a long illness. He was a former treasurer of the National Better Business Bu reau, a former president of the Desert Sanatorium of Southern Arizona, Inc., and was a direc tor of the Tucson, Ariz., Medical Center at the time of his death. A native of Morgantown, W, Va„ he spent his boyhood in Los Angeles, then attended the Uni versity of Pennsylvania and the New York Law School. He served in France as a com missioned officer in World War I and, after his return, joined McCann-Erickson in 1919. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Una Page Anderson, and a sister, Miss Bessie. Mrs. Estelle Burrows, 73, Native of Washington Mrs. Estelle P. Burrows, 73, a lifelong resident of Washington, died yesterday following a lengthy Illness. She lived at 4622 Wisconsin avenue N.W. Mrs. Burrows was bom in the Tenley Circle area and was one of the oldest members of the Eldbrooke Methodist Church. She was a member of Friendship Chapter. No. 17, Order of the Eastern Star, and Esther Coun cil, No. 2, Daughters of Amer ica. Survivors include her husband, Hilleary P. Burrows; two sons by a former marriage. Andrew P. James David Roper, Druggist for 50 Years James David Roper. 83, a na tive of Jasper County, Mo., and druggist for 50 years, died yes terday in his home in Arlington, Va. He had lived in this area for six months. Mr. Roper, who lived with his son, Lt. Cql. David Roper, of 2806 Sixteenth road, Arlington, was active in politics in Mis souri and at one time was chair man of the Jasper County Re publican Committee.
