He’ll be back in about 30 minutes.” Twenty-year-old Tom Tobin, first sergeant of Company M, put the field telephone back in the cradle. “Where’s the old man?” asked 38-year-old Warrant Officer Er nest Lee, unit administrator of “Mike” Company, as he entered the command post a few minutes later. The “old man’” turned out to Ist Lt. Paul D. Summers of Rock ville, Md. His age: 23. His job: Company commander of Com pany M, 223 d Infantry Regiment in Korea. Lt. Summers, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Burke Summers, of Til den lane, Rockville, was gradu ated from the Military Academy in 1951. He is the “old man” who wears the Bronze Star and the wings of a trained parachutist. ** * * Harry H. Jones, son.of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Jones of 1019 Varnum street N.E., has been found fully qualified as an aviation cadet aircraft observer by the Air Force at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. He is enrolled at the Uni versity of North Carolina. Chapel Hill, N. C. ** * * Karl G. Feissner, 22-year-old son of Mrs. Freda K. Feissner, 522 Crittenden street N.W., re cently was graduated from the Fort Sill. (Okla.) Officers Candi date School as a second lieuten ant in the Army. A graduate of Roosevelt High School in 1949, Lt. Feissner was studying law at Montgomery Junior College when he entered the Army in March, 1952. His brother, John, is serv ing in Korea with the State De partment. Lt. Robert E. Martin, USMC, 30, of Arlington, Va., was the recent winner of the annual Lt, retainer. It. Martin. Air Materiel Area, located at Olmsted Air Force Base, as the command staff judge advocate. Col. Wade, a lawyer of more than 30 years’ service in the Army and Air Force, first entered military service in 1917 as a cadet and was commissioned later that year. He served in the European and Far East theaters during World War II for the judge advocate general's office. Col. Wade’s wife, the former Margaret Jackson, lives at 9119 Burdette road, Bethesda, Md.
