Public Urged to Help 'Mop Up' in Korean Clothing Collection Korean clothing drive offi cials today called on Washing ton area residents to aid the “mop-up” of yesterday's door to-door canvass by taking un collected bundles to the nearest fire house. At least 500.000 pounds of clothing and blankets for desti tute Korean civilians this win ter were piled up yesterday. The Washington Area Com mittee of American Relief for Korea believed that additional clothing to achieve the 750,000- pound area goal was available, but volunteer collectors were not able to reach all homes. The bundles may be taken, through Friday, to neighborhood firehouses in the District and nearby Virginia and Maryland communities. The Salvation Army, which helped in yester day’s operations, will pick them up. Leaders of the drive, whose general chairman was Mrs. Os car L. Chapman, expressed grat ification. "Teledu,” which in English dic tionaries means “the stinking badger of Java and Sumatra,” is the new official Welsh word for j television. She said some of the workers started before noon and were still bringing in collections at 5 p.m. Dulles Off for Rest On Turkish Island By the Associated Press ISTANBUL. Turkey, May 25. —United States Secretary of State Dulles and the officials with him on a Middle East tom arrived here by air from Pak istan today for a one-day rest. Mr. Dulles declined to make any comment to newsmen and refused to allow photographs to be taken. The party left im mediately for the Marmora Sea resort of Pinkipo Island. Mr. Dulles and Mutual Secur ity Administrator Stassen leave for Ankara, Turkey’s capital, for an official visit tomorrow before ) flying Wednesday to Athens. Winding up a busy three davs of conferences in Karachi last night, Mr. Dulles told a news conference he would return to 1 Washington after his 20-day trip “with no disposition to meddle in the affairs of others, but witn a keen realization that what hap- j pens in this part of the world has world-wide repercussions.” Speaking of Middle .
