Baynard. Rev. and Mrs. Le Gates Announce Engagement of Their Two Daughters The Rev. and Mrs. C. E. Le Gates of Bladensburg announce the engagement of their daught ers, Loleta Mae, to Mr. John Joseph Oleksak and Jane Dale, to 2d Lt. Robert Ernest Baynard. Miss Loleta Mae Le Gates will be graduated in June from Blue Mountain College In Mississippi with a bachelor of music degree. Miss Jane Dale Le Gates is a student at Anderson College in South Carolina where she will continue her studies. Mr. Oleksak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Oleksak of Oil City, Pa., attended Pennsylvania State College, Lyons College and Colorado College. He is at pres ent connected with the Govern ment in the Soils Conservation Section at Beltsville. He and his fiance will reside there after their marriage. Lt. Baynard is the son of Mrs. Ida Baynard of Macon, Ga. He was graduated cum laude from Mercer University and is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsi lon, Phi Eta Sigma, Alpha Phi Omega and Scabbard and Blade. * wm MRS. NED B. SUDBOROUGH The former Miss Janet E. Spencer. Miss Janet Emma Spencer, daughter of Mrs. Mabel S. Spen cer of College Park, and Mr. Ned Brian Sudborough, son of Mr. N. B. Sudborough of Pontiac, Mich., were married on May 9 at the home of the bride with the Rev. J. Thoburn Bard officiating. A reception followed. The bride is a graduate of the University of Maryland and com pleted her graduate work at the University of Chicago where she was elected to membership in Pi Lambda Theta, an honorary edu cation fraternity. Mr. Sudborough is now with Wayne Hummer Co., investors of Chicago and received his degree from the University of Chicago. The couple will make their home in that city. Final Luncheon The final luncheon of the Fort Myer Women’s Club will take place on Thursday at Hop Hall at 1 o’clock. Mrs. Maxwell D. Taylor, president, will conduct the meeting. Hostesses will be Mrs. H, W. French, Mrs. J. L. Fredricks, Mrs. J. P. Hulley and Lt. Nancy Stumberg. He is stationed at Fort Mc- Phearson until he leaves for Korean duty on June 17.
