The large map above shows the new'boundarles for the city’s ele mentary schools. The two smaller maps on the next page show new boundaries for senior and junior high schools. All new boundaries will take effect for pupils new to the school system on September 13. the first day of school in the fall. Pupils already enrolled are scheduled to remain in present schools next fall, under existing boundaries, except for about 2,900 colored pupils who are to be transferred. Next February new senior high school boundaries will take full 1 effect. Junior high pupils gradu- ! sting in February and thereafter will move into high schools ac cording to the new boundaries. In September, 1955, all new boundaries will be in complete effect. The Board of Education has approved a rule that present pupils will be allowed to remain in presently assigned schools A until graduation, however, unless this causes overcrowding. Listed below is the new bound ary system for elementary schools. Schools listed first are those whose boundaries are new. Listed afterwards are schools whose boundaries remain un changed.
