The society announced his selection as it opened its 16th national convention today. The award was set up by the society for the American man or woman performing outstanding service in the welfare of the United States as a public official, educator, scientist, engineer, or inventor. He did so late yesterday by an nouncing appointment of John H. Stanbaugh as assistant to Clarence B. Randall, special con sultant to the President for for eign economic policy. The announcement said: “Mr. Stanbaugh will assist Mr. Ran dall in action looking toward consideration by the next Cong ress of the remainder of the President’s foreign economic policy program." The heart of this program calls for modification of the Recipro cal Trade Agreements Act to per mit tariff reductions up to 15 per cent over a period of years. Mr. Stanbaugh, 48, who long has been engaged in the farm equipment business, has served as assistant to Foreign Opera tions Director Harold E. Stassen since last November. Mr. Randall headed a com mittee that drafted recommen dations for a more liberal foreign trade policy earlier this year. (Daddy) Grace, Washington evangelist. The action was brought in the U. 8. District Court for the Dis trict of Columbia by Attorney Jesse H. Chessin in behalf of Mrs. Louvenia A. Royster, 3320 Stanton road SB. The suit, which named as de fendant John A. Royster, “also known as James E. Morris and Bishop C. M. Grace," asserts Mrs. Royster and the ftegro evangelist were married in 1923. ' Bishop Grace left her in 1928 and has failed to provide for her support, Mrs. Royster complains.
