Kann Sons Co., depart ment store staff for 50 years, teas presented a check for SI,OOO last night by Sol Kann, president. The presentation took place at the ninth annual banquet of Kann's 10-to-50-Year-Club in the ballroom of the Mayflower Hotel. Twgnty-six new members were admitted to the club, bring ing the total membership to 413 employes, 69 of whom have been with the company 30 years. There are 58 retired members, 24 of whom were present. B. B. Burgunder, Jr., vice presi dent, presented diamond pins and watches to all store members who have been with the company* 20 and 25 years respectively. Both Mr. Kann and Mr. Burgunder expressed their ap preciation for the loyalty and as sistance of the club members in the successful operation of the Washington and Arlington i stores. The 10-to-50-Year-Club elected these new officers: William Carr, president: Mrs. Margaret Davis, vice president, and Mrs. Martha Payne, treasurer. Entertainment and dancing followed the instal lation of officers. Marriage License Applications Under D.
