C&P Glee Club to Sing
To Raise Funds for Church
The Chesapeake and Potomac
Telephone Co. Glee Club will
sing a benefit concert at 8 p.m.
tomorrow in the parish hall of j
St. John’s Episcopal Church,;
Potomac and O streets N.W.
Proceeds of the concert, for j
which the singers are donating
their services, will go toward the
cost of a proposed new parish
hall at the Georgetown Lutheran !
Church, Wisconsin avenue and j
Volta place N.W. The church.!
which claims to be the second
oldest in Washington, has had
three successive buildings on the
same site since 1769.
The proposed parish hall, to
cost about $65,000, will adjoin!
the church building. It will have
classrooms in the basement and
an auditorium on the main floor.
The benefit has been arranged
by the Brotherhood Class of the
Georgetown Lutheran Church.
