Ralph has the best long-term coniract in TV—five years straight with NBC, and his “Truth or Con sequences” program is set to go on for 208 performances, 52 week for 4 years. Claudette Colbert will learn from this column that she will be offered the starring role in “The Smash Up” by Producer- Director Vincent Sherman. It’s about an automobile collision, and seeing it will make us all drive slowly or give up driving. Fernando Lamas turned down the Ezio Pinza role in "South Pacific” for Dallas.
