Y„ April 16 WP). —Prank E. Gannett, 79-year old newspaper publisher, was in Highland Hospital today with a broken vertebra suffered in a fall at his home yesterday. A statement issued by his office said Mr. Gannett would be “con fined for some time.” His condition was not believed to be critical. Mr. Gannett is president of she Gannett Co., Inc., parent organ ization of the Gannett group which controls 22 newspapers and seven radio stations.
