TOKYO TEACHER FOUND DEAD,
NOTE SUGGESTS NO AUTOPSY
TOKYO, July 6 UP). —A brilliant young mathematician
was found dead today in Tokyo University with a note ad
dresed to police, saying “This is a distinct suicide; an au
topsy may be unnecessary.”
He was instructor Akira Mori, 30, a doctor of science.
His neatly written note read:
“This is a distinct suicide; autopsy may not be nec
essary. I ground up 300 sleeping pills and took them at
about 7 pm. July 5. I cannot tell when I died. I cannot
briefly describe the reason, but consider this case falling
under the category of suicide stemming from nervous break
down. I apologize for all the troubles.”
Police said his mouth showed cyanide reaction and
despite Mori’s note will conduct an autopsy. Cyanide, a
violent poison, is not contained in sleeping pills.
