17 Permits Revoked, 29 Drivers Suspended Seventeen drivers lost their, permits and 29 other drivers’ got suspensions last week, the De partment of Vehicles and Traffic reported. In addition, 34 persons charged with driving without a D. C. per mit had their privilege of beingj licensed in the District suspended i until proof of financial respon sibility is filed. Os the 17 revocations, 14 were driving while drunk and three for accumulated record of traffic violations amounting to at least 1? points under the point system. Seven of the suspensions were invoked under the point system and 18 for failure to satisfy judgement in court. Pour others were suspended for failure to file insurance. The Board of Trade an nounced last night that ration ing will be eased another notch next Sunday, permitting papers to add two to four pages. By next March the 15-year old controls will be lifted com 'pletely, the Board said. There after. newsprint will be con trolled only by the amount available and the papers’ ability ;to pay for it.
