However, Interior officials said today there are no immediate plans for any further lease sales now that more than $350 mil lion has been realised within 10 months for lands off Texas and TontriMii. They explained that in view qf commitment of a quarter of a billion dollars by the oil industry to offshore leases, plus f the investment the companies must make in drilling and de velopment, it was felt advisable to hold up further offerings un til there is active interest in more. Iranian Queen Visits Riviera NICE, France, Aug. 18 W- Queen Soraya of Iran arrived hen today for an informal vaca tion on the French Riviera. A member of the Queen’s party denied earlier reports, from Tehran that she was visiting /Asrope for medical treatment. “She is very well and in perfect health,” he said. The California situation is dif ferent. The Interior officials said their hands are tied there until the Supreme Court takes some action on the long-pending special master’s report as to what is California’s coast line. Until the coast line Is definitely determined by the court or until the court says it has dropped the matter, interior has no way of knowing just where to start seaward measurement to locate the 3-mile limit, the officials said. Report Ordered The master’s report was or dered by the court on June 33, 1947. The document has been filed with the court but no action has been taken.
