Army Quartermaster General Carps * The first formal luncheon of the season for the Quarter master Women’s Club will take place tomorrow at the Officers’ Club, Fort Lesley J. McNair. Their honor guests will be Mrs. Wilber E. Brucker, wife of the Secretary of the Army, and Mrs. Charles C. Flnucane, wife of the Undersecretary of the Army. Hempstone, USN, re tired, and honorary vice presi dent emeritus of the Soldiers, BaUors, Marines, and Airmen’s dub, will present a plaque tomorrow to Mrs. Arthur Mac- Arthur, the present president, at the opening meeting of the dub. The plaque Is In memory of the women who founded the original organisation, known then as the Army and Navy League, and will also erve to officially to the Soldiers, Sail ors, Marines and Airmen’s dub. Mrs. MacArthur has been a life member since 1317 when her mother, the late Mrs. Bow man H. McCalla gave her the membership as a present. To morrow’s meeting will be In the nature of a memorial to the originator* of the dub. the membership of which is in ex cess of 8,000.
