Wins's6 Wright Trophy
Dr. Edward Pearson Warner, president of the International
Civil Aviation Organization Council, has been named winner of
. the Wright Brothers Memorial trophy for 1956, the National
Aeronautic Association announced yesterday.
Dr. Warner, assistant Secretary of the Navy for aeronautics
under the Coolidge administration, was cited for continuous
achievements over a broad \'
range of aviation since 1917. j|

the old Civil Aeronautics Au
thority and its successor, the
Civil Aeronautics Board, more
than six years and was CAB
vice chairman in. 1941 and from
1943 to 1945.
A native of Pittsburgh, he was
graduated from Harvard and
from the Massachusetts Insti
tute of Technology.
He helped found the Institute
of the Aeronautical Sciences and
in 1930 was president of the I
