OFFICERS' WIVES’ CLUBS Jango Members Serve Christmas Dinner By EVELYN M. DENT Today at the Soldiers. Sail ors, Marines and Airmens Club, the JANGO members, under the direction of Mrs. Madison C. Whiteside, served dinner from 10 to 2 p.m. Those assisting were Sally An Bower, Sue Bailey, Bonnie Jean Coffin, Sally Sneed, Gretchen Groves and Kate Hines. They were all happy to share their holiday to make the club a “home away from home” for servicemen. Army, Navy, Air Force Cotillion On Thursday the Army, Navy, Air Force Cotillion will have their Christmas ball at Patton Hall, Fort Myer. In addition to the regular mem bers, there will be many for mer members home for the holidays who are attending as guests. MaJ. Gen. and Mrs. Richard C. Lindsay are the honor guests and will receive with the hosts at 8:30 p.m. The cotillion is sponsored by the West Point Class of 1934. Junior hosts include Joan Ann Neal, Frances Hillyard, Dale Bilbo, Heather Hanley, Scott Edson, William Rasco, Dennis Flynn and Eric Nelson. They will lead the grand march. The Mell-O-Tones will play for the dancing. Beach, who commands the Guided Missile Group. Mrs. Beach and Mrs. Bertram E. Spivy were hostesses at the luncheon which followed. Mrs. Offley was appointed chairman of the bridge group, and Mrs. WiUiam H. Bach, chairman of hospitality. Bolling Air Force Base Mr. Clement E. Conger, as sistant chief of protocol De partment of State, will be the guest speaker at the Bolling Officers’ Wives’ Club lunch eon on January 3. Luncheon will follow the meeting at the Bolling Offi cers’ Club, Mr. Conger will speak on “The Role of Pro tocol USO Christmas Dinner For the fifth consecutive year members of B’nai B’rith Women, Argo are sponsoring a Christmas dinner followed by a "variety show” at the USO Lafayette Square beginning at 6 p.m. A traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings is being served to approx imately 500 servicemen and women.
