CYNTHIA GREY'S ADVICE
TO PUZZLED LOVERS
, I am young and fairly good
looking. Have just met a man
whom I could love, but he dul not
pay any attention to me How
can I attract him? It has been
said that girls who lun after men
are not liked by them, but I-no-tice
that the girls who do are the
ones who have the best times.
Please advise. T. R. W.
Perhaps they have the best
times, but are they the ones who
are chosen as wives? When girls
meet men whom they like, they
always encourage them - con
sciously or unconsciously. But as
for "running after men'' I can
not believe the men like that.
Why not encourage this man by
showing him that you like him?
That's all you can do, except to
just be the kind of a natural,
sweet and wholesome girl that no
man can help but admire.
I am 17 years old; have been
going with a young man whom I
have fallen deeply in love with.
He and I quarreled and he now
goes with another girl He knows
I have no use for the girl. Do you
think he really cares for me?
What shall I do? Perplexed.
Time is the only solution of
your problem, I think. If th'e.
young man is doing it for spite
the best way to get even with him
is to turn your attention to some
one else. In any event, this would
be a much better policy than stay
ing at home and being gloomy.
Perhaps he is under the impres
sion that you care for him and
thinks he may do as he pleases.
By all means keep upr your pluck.
Find interest elsewhere.
If he really cares for you he
will come back to you sooner of
later. If he doesn't it is as well
for you to know it now as later.
I have known a girl for four
months who has a nickname that
all her friends call her. I have
talked with her at social functions
but she has never asked me to
call, although I think she likes
me.' Would it be all right for me
to use her nickname in speaking
to her? Brother,
Not unless she asks you to do
so. Why not ask her if you may
Soap Helps Eyelets.
When making eyelet embroid
ery, rub soap upon the cloth and
hold a piece of soap under the
material and let the stilleto pass
into it. The soap gives a slight
stiffness to the cloth and a much
better eye can be made.
