SHOOTS NEWSBOY. J
Another outrage was added to
the list of shootings committed
"by trust newspaper special police
men this morning when John
Gould, a newsboy for the Chicago
American shot and "probably fa
tally wounded John Moran, a
striking newsboy, in front pf 746
N. Clark street.
Moran, who has been working
as a bartender since the strike be
gan, was on his way to work
when he met Gould. They be
came involved in a quarrel, and,
according to Gould. Moran struck
at him. Gould immediately drew
his revolver and fired four -shots,
wounding Moran in the abdomen
and back.
When he was arrested Gould
gave ajjctitious name to the pou
nce.
Moran, who lives at 753 Dear
born avenue, was removed to the
Passavant hospital, where it was
said late this afternoon that he
would probably die. "
