door he suddenly remembered he
has been here hefore and received
a curt refusal. This time it was
"Oh, it's you again, is it?"
asked the housewife 'cordially.
"Come in, won't you?"

" 'Course I "did," he said agree
ably. "Nobody could help it The
whole street was looking at you l"
"Then why didn't you stop?"
she asked in exasperation.
"Oh, I thought you were just
dancing to the street organ !" was
the conductor's quiet reply in acidiftff
