The Boston Red Sox, pennant winners in the American League, are the world's baseball- cham pions. They came back this afternoon and beat the New York Giants after one of the most grueling battles in baseball his tory. Hugh Bedient held the Giants to one run in seven innings and outpiched Mathewson for a sec ond time in the series. To Olaf Henricksen belongs the lion's share jof the credit. Henricksen who was put; in to bat for Bedient in the seventh inning scored the first ruh for the Red Sox by swatting out a clean double.
