weather. Some one who needed
an overcoat stole it from Mayer's

St., held to grand jury without
bail, following investigation of
death of his wife, Mrs. Cella
Slaby, 33, who was killed in her
kitchen Nov. 5.

pected. Negro robber held up and rob
bed Miss Bertha Oldenhauer,
1230 Dearborn ave. at E. 45th st.,
and Drexel blvd. Escaped with
$22 and two rings.
Miss Fruna Gruckstadt, 23,
who fled to N. Y. in January, after
cashing six checks of $50 each',
which she is alleged to have
forged, was arrested here wheri
she returned.
Michael Gutto, 24, 5614 Prairie
ave., engineer, struck Miss- E.
Driscoll, laundress, at Washing
ton Park hospital. Fined $200.
