"Whafdid you want to drink
Sloan's liniment for?" asked the

John considered for a moment,
and then turned a baleful eye on

drink. I 'ope as 'ow you suffer

At this moment, the hand of a

itself around John's mouth, and
he and his '"opes" were bundled
toward the Bridewell
